undergraduate fellowship
2023 Applications have closed
The UMass Center for Justice, Law, and Societies and the SBS RISE Program invites RISE students to apply for our summer undergraduate research fellowship. Students who are eligible to apply are those who identify as first-generation, students of color, and/or those who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. All participating students will earn $5000 of summer funding, working approximately 30 hours each week for approximately 11 weeks. With support from CJLS and SBS RISE, the awarded fellows will conduct original research with a faculty member, providing exposure to research design, methods, and publication, while also being mentored by the faculty member. Research fellows will also participate in a summer research team with SBS RISE Director Dr. Felicia Griffin-Fennell. As an additional perk, each fellow will also receive research methodological training of their choice with the Institute for Social Science Research.
